Channel permissions
Add your bot to each private channel or group as an administrator, with the rights to invite users and to ban members. The first lets it create personal join links, and the second lets it remove someone whose paid time has ended. Your workspace checks both before it manages a chat, and the Bot page says if either is missing.
Connect a payment provider
Creators are paid into their own account. Connect Stripe from Connections in your workspace, and Stripe takes you through its own onboarding. Whether you can take payments depends on your country and Stripe’s approval.
PayPal needs an eligible PayPal Business account with subscriptions enabled.
How a member buys
Members buy on your membership page, on the web. They first verify their Telegram account by pressing Start in your bot, then pay through Stripe’s checkout. Your bot never shows prices or links to checkout. Once the payment is verified, the bot sends a personal join link.
Renewals and cancellation
Memberships renew automatically each month or year. Members manage theirs in a portal, at Manage your membership on the community’s page. They sign in with a code the bot sends them.
Cancelling stops the next renewal, and the member keeps access until the end of the time already paid for. With Stripe, they can turn renewal back on before then. Refunds are up to each creator, through their own Stripe account.
Access problems
- A join link works only for the Telegram account that paid, and expires after 24 hours. Send /join to the bot for a new one.
- Members are removed when their paid time ends, and can rejoin after renewing.
- If the bot loses a permission, the Members page shows a delayed invite or a failed removal, and it retries once the permission is back.
- Send /support to the bot for the community owner’s contact.
